Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending and volunteering at the first Suffolk Juneteenth Festival sponsored by Saratoga Dreamers in the new Downtown Suffolk Festival Park.

I had a great time! There were vendors, music & dancing, food trucks, activities, car shows, and plenty of people to meet or catch up with whom one may not have seen in a while. Honoring and spotlighting individuals from the city of Suffolk, Virginia.

The bringing of people and the city of Suffolk, Virginia, together was the goal, and it was achieved while celebrating this holiday of Juneteenth.

The founders of the Saratoga Dreamers have set out to create an atmosphere of positivity. Their stance of promoting positive mental health among children is essential to the long-term well-being and strength of our community, and they are receiving positive feedback from their efforts to build a stronger community involving our youth and community.

The Saratoga Dreamers non-profit organization is dedicated to driving meaningful change by leveraging resources and expertise to support impactful initiatives. With a commitment to transparency and accountability, with working diligently to create a lasting difference in communities worldwide.

The city of Suffolk, Virginia, has gained a non-profit that is setting the stage, along with others who not only care about the next generation but also the generations to come after, and not leaving out the previous generations to have a positive effect and outreach on our present and future. This is a legacy to leave with their non-profit, their families, their city, and the nation.

So, if you didn’t have a chance to make it to this first one, look out for next year’s event. I am quite sure it will be a blast having a positive vibe for the community.

Until the next time,

Share Life, Be Life, Love Life, & Live Life
